Gossip On Sports, West Indies v England

One poor innings in the first test ultimately ended up costing England the series against the West Indies but it has been the timing of the declarations in the following tests which has drawn the most criticism.

Andrew Strauss’ decision to wait until the very last minute before declaring was slammed as “pathetic” and “weak” by former England great Ian Botham, under Strauss’ guidance Beefy felt the team “lost the plot.”

Botham wasn’t the only one to have a go and with the criticism still ringing in his ear Strauss has the task of trying to turn around England’s one day fortunes.

Twenty20 cricket is all about throwing caution to the wind but will Strauss show the strength needed to take victory or will England be blown away by the Windies?
